COACHING Β· RESOURCES Β· PAST TIPS Β· INSTAGRAM

Hey Reader!

Have you ever gotten home from the dentist, checked your phone, and seen a text message from them asking you to leave a review on Google?

Or been immediately prompted to leave a review after paying a restaurant bill on your phone?

Or asked your Instagram audience to leave a rating & comment after making one of your recipes??

Testimonials come in all sorts of forms and are such an important thing for businesses! However, I find that they're often overlooked by creators.

So let's talk about why they're so important!

πŸ“ˆ They can increase conversions.
-If you're choosing between 2 restaurants to eat at, are you going to the one with a few 5-star reviews or the one with hundredsss of 5-star reviews??

🀝 They help us build trust.

-Asking for testimonials shows that we care! And having testimonials shows prospective clients or readers that we provide great services or the recipe is sure to be a success!

🌟 They provide valuable feedback.

-Honest testimonials can help us know what we're doing well and where we can improve! Maybe the recipe instructions weren't clear enough or maybe the onboarding process wasn't as smooth as it could be.

Here are 3 ways I collect testimonials in my own business πŸ‘‡

Recipes
πŸ‘‰ I ask my IG followers to rate/comment on a post if they made the recipe. I do this every once in a while by posting on my stories. I'll also ask them to leave a quick rating if they DM me saying they made a recipe. I've even started adding a blurb like "if you love it, would you mind leaving a quick ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ rating on my blog post?" to my ManyChat automations!

Clients
πŸ‘‰
After I finish a project with a brand, I ask them to share feedback or leave a review on Google, and then I use them in my portfolio. I do the same thing with my coaching clients - I ask for testimonials and then share them on my website! I also emphasize that I'm always open to feedback and provide many opportunities for them to share it with me (including anonymous forms).

Digital Products
πŸ‘‰
When I was creating my Analytics Dashboard, I asked a few bloggers to share feedback on it so I could tweak it to make it even better and get proof that it was valuable. I'll be collecting testimonials from those who have purchased it as well!

No matter what your business is, testimonials are valuable!

Don't forget & don't be afraid to ask for feedback - it'll only help you grow 😊

And once you've collected testimonials, don't forget to share them with the world! Be proud of what you've accomplished and show your audience how you can help them!
